Adding and removing borders in Google Sheets is one of the most common formatting shortcuts. It is one of the easiest and best tools to organize your analysis. In this article, I will show you how to activate every border tool in Google Sheets by shortcut, just like you would in Excel
Steps to activate Border Shortcuts:
Install the SheetWhiz Chrome Extension for free
Refresh a Google Sheet and login when prompted. The SheetWhiz logo will appear in the upper right hand corner of the screen
Select the area you'd like to apply a border shortcut
The border shortcuts are below. Make sure you press and release each key before pressing the next key, just like you would in Excel:
Remove Borders:
Alt + H + B + N (PC)
Option + H + B + N (Mac)
Top Border:
Alt + H + B + P (PC)
Option + H + B + P (Mac)
Bottom Border:
Alt + H + B + O (PC)
Option + H + B + O (Mac)
Right Border:
Alt + H + B + R (PC)
Option + H + B + R (Mac)
Left Border:
Alt + H + B + R (PC)
Option + H + B + R (Mac)
Outside Border:
