Export data seamlessly with the "Export Selection as Image" feature in Google Sheets, preserving both the format and source of your selections.
This is the best way to export Google Sheet outputs to Google Slides (or Docs or anywhere for that matter). Its a game-changer and anyone who updates Board Decks, Monthly KPIs, Model Outputs, etc. will greatly benefit from this article.
The feature is Export Selection as Image. It takes a screenshot of the cells you've selected and then when you paste the screenshot, it links to the original cell selection.
Here's how you use the tool:
First, install the SheetWhiz Chrome Extension
Second, reload a Sheet — the SheetWhiz logo should appear in the upper righthand corner of your screen:

Next, click the logo to view your shortcuts. You’ll see “Export Selection as Image” as the 4th shortcut, triggered by holding down “Ctrl + Shift + C” on a PC or “Control + Shift + C” if on a Mac.

Fourth, select the cells that you want to output and run the shortcut by hitting "Ctrl + Shift + C" (hold them all down and consecutively).
If the shortcut runs properly, you'll get the following notification:
"Screenshot has been created and is ready to paste to Google Slides"

You are now free to paste this screenshot wherever you want. For example, if you want to paste it in Google Slides, you can open a presentation and hit "Ctrl + V" (Paste shortcut) to paste the screenshot.
The screenshot will reflect the cells you've selected AND include a link to where the cells have been selected.

Now you'll be able to export Google Sheets selections and automatically link where the images are coming from!
Here is a Loom video explaining everything I've detailed above.
With Export Selection as Image, you'll never have to manually take another screenshot of Sheets again. You'll never have to work with Google's export capabilities that mess up your beautiful Sheets formatting.
With the feature, you maintain Sheets formatting AND keep track of where the data is coming from, allowing you to easily update that information when needed.
This is an absolute game-changer for Sheets.
